As reported in the Barossa Herald, Child and Family Health Services have returned to Freeling after a 15-year absence due to the demand of the town’s growing population.
Facilitated by community child health nurse Tanya Eggleton, the services are run from the medical rooms at the Wheatfields Nursing home off of Cherry Street. Described by Freeling mother Rebecca Both as ‘sensational’, the service seeks to support parents of young children by way of health and developmental check-ups.
Previously parents had to travel to Gawler and Nuriootpa for family health checks and locals have welcomed the convenience of the Freeling-based services.
The Freeling Child and Family Health Service operates as a drop-in service from 9.30am to 12.30am with clinic appointments in the afternoon on: November 29 and December 13 in 2011, and January 24, February 28, March 27, April 24, May 22, and June 26 in 2012.
To book an appointment, phone: 1300 733 606.
