Construction Commences on Freeling Agricultural Centre

Construction has commenced on the $4.8m Agricultural and Multi-Purpose Centre at Freeling’s Recreation Park.

The project entails a 1471m2 trade and exhibition hall that will double as an indoor sporting facility, including training and meeting rooms, change rooms and a kitchen and cafe.

Light Ward Councillor Lynette Reichstein said the community is excited by the prospect of seeing the facility completed in time for the 2019 football season.

“As we got out there to talk to people… we were humbled by the energy and enthusiasm that everyone brought to the table,” she said.

“As a rural community, we just can’t wait to use this new building to help keep us moving, keep us learning and keep us connected.”
