Improved Connections for Virginia Grove Residents - Sheedy Road Upgrade Nearing Completion

Great news for Virginia Grove residents, with the City of Playford's Sheedy Road Upgrade now entering its final stages and on track for completion by the end of September.

The significant infrastructure upgrade will deliver safer and more convenient connections between Virginia Grove, Old Port Wakefield Road and the Virginia Shopping Centre, making it even easier for residents to access local services, shops and amenities.

According to the latest update from the City of Playford, electrical works and street lighting installations are expected to be completed this week, while asphalt works are scheduled for next week, weather permitting. New shared-use footpaths are also set to be poured during the coming month, providing improved accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists and families alike.

Once complete, the project will create an important new link for the Virginia community, enhancing connectivity and encouraging active transport options throughout the township.

For Virginia Grove residents, the upgraded road and shared-use path network will provide a safe and easy route to the Virginia town centre, local shops and surrounding community facilities, further strengthening the lifestyle benefits of living within our award-winning community.

Residents seeking further information on the project can contact the City of Playford on (08) 8256 0333.
